The Gunners currently sit in first place, having established a seven-point gap over Manchester City and Aston Villa.
Of the current top four, Arsenal have only claimed a win against Villa, despite facing Liverpool and Unai Emery’s men two times already and playing Manchester City once.
This weekend, Mikel Arteta’s men take on Manchester United, a team they defeated 1-0 on the first weekend of this campaign.
Scholes, speaking on The Overlap Fan Debate, said: “One thing Arsenal haven’t done is beat a team like Liverpool or Manchester City.
“But looking at how many points Liverpool and City are losing, I don’t think they will have to. I think it could be a very easy win for Arsenal.”
