Taiwo Awoniyi scored his maiden goal of the campaign as Nottingham Forest beat Brentford 2-0 on Sunday.
The Tricky Trees moved away from the relegation zone following the win.
Igor Jesus gave Forest the lead after 12 minutes with Ola Aina providing the assist.
Awoniyi was introduced in the 68th minute.
The Nigeria international made the points save by scoring Forest’s second 11 minutes from time.
The striker made brilliant individual run into the box before slotting the ball into the net.
It was Awoniyi’s first goal for the Tricky Trees since February 11, 2025 when he found the back of the net in a 2-2 draw against Exeter.
