Nigerian musician DeeOne has responded after receiving an invitation from the Nigerian Police, insisting that he did not make any derogatory remarks against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu or his son.

In a statement addressing the invitation, DeeOne said, “Nigerian police, I did not say anything bad about the President or his son. I only expressed my views as a good citizen of Nigeria. If this is about my video yesterday, I will not apologise.”

The police reportedly issued the invitation following a video DeeOne shared on social media, which authorities are investigating to determine whether it violates any laws. The content of the video has not been officially disclosed, but it has sparked widespread attention online.
