La Liga expert, Phil Kitromilides has weighed in on Ademola Lookman’s transfer to Atletico Madrid.
Lookman joined Atletico Madrid on a permanent transfer from Serie A club, Atalanta on Monday.
Atalanta reportedly received around €40m as transfer fee from the Spanish club.
The 28-year-old will be second Nigerian to wear the colour of Atletico following in the foot steps of Muyiwa Lawal.
Kitromilides said there is huge excitement around the city following Lookman’s signing.
“People are super excited about this transfer, it’s a little bit of star quality coming through to Atleti. It’s a really, really interesting signing,” Kitromilides told CBS TV.
