Atletico Madrid forward, Antoine Griezmann has heaped plaudits on Ademola Lookman following his impressive start to life at the club, NEWSUNPLUG reports.
Lookman scored, and registered an assist on his maiden appearance to help the Rojiblancos thrashed Real Betis 5-0 in their Copa del Rey quarter-final clash on Thursday night.
The Nigeria international netted Diego Simeone’s side’s third goal of the game.
The Nigeria international teed up Griezmann for the fourth goal.
Lookman was in action for 79 minutes before he was substituted.
Griezmann said it was important for the winger to have a winning debut with the team.
“Regarding Lookman, the idea is to enjoy the new players and let them give us nights of joy like this one,” Griezmann said after the game.
