Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Al-Nassr and move to the MLS if there’s no resolution in his disagreement with the club, according to Portuguese journalist, Duarte Monteiro.

The 41-year-old still wants to play regularly to stay in good shape for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which is coming up this summer.

Ronaldo did not play in Al-Nassr’s most recent two matches against Al-Riyadh and Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is said to be very angry with the PIF because they didn’t back the Knights of Najd during the winter transfer period, while other teams like Al-Hilal got support.

The situation got worse when the PIF decided to block Karim Benzema’s move from Al-Ittihad to Al-Hilal in the last few days of the transfer window.

Ronaldo has not shown any indication of stopping his strike, according to Monteiro, who said via Kooora, “Ronaldo is frustrated because the club isn’t getting enough support and the directors don’t have as much control as they should.

“Ronaldo wants to keep playing often before the World Cup, and that’s his main focus.
If there is no agreement, he will go to the American league.”

Ronaldo is currently signed with Al Nassr and has a contract that runs until the summer of 2027. He also has a reported option to leave the club for €50 million.

His main goal right now is to stay in the Saudi League and keep playing for Al Nassr.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Ronaldo has also told top officials in the Saudi Pro League that he is thinking about leaving this summer.
