Rivers United technical adviser, Finidi George has admitted that Egyptian side, Pyramids FC were better than his team.
The Pride of Rivers suffered a 4-1 defeat to defending champions Pyramids FC in their penultimate CAF Champions League group game in Uyo on Sunday.
Stephen Manyo gave Rivers United the lead in the 33rd minute, before Mostafa Fathi equalised for the visitors in the 52nd minute.
Marwan Hamdi, Odeh Al Fakhouri, and Nasser Maher also scored for the Egyptians.
Finidi blamed indecision for his team’s defeat to the Egyptians.
“We controlled the game and we got our goal we didn’t give them room to play in the first half,” Finidi stated in a post-match interview.
“Indecision was our wrongdoing in the game because we made mistakes of wrong footing during tackles as the Egyptians were faster.”
