Former Liverpool star, Didi Hamann has identified Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich as the team to stop Arsenal from winning the quadruple this season.
Hamann believes Vincent Kompany’s side will beat the Gunners when both teams meet in the UEFA Champions League knockout stage this season.
Arsenal are competing in four major competitions so far this season.
Mikel Arteta’s side are in the race for the Premier League title, UEFA Champions League, Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
Arsenal are four points ahead of Man City in the Premier League table, and they will face Pep Guardiola’s side in the Carabao Cup final in March.
They are in the FA Cup 4th round, where they face Wigan Athletic on Sunday, and they have already secured automatic qualification for the Champions League Round of 16 stage.
“Usually in the past, Bayern have always got the better of Arsenal,” he told Thunderpick. “So, I think that was one of the reasons why Arsenal was desperate to show them, you know, this year is our year.
“Bayern have dropped a few points in the last two weeks. So Bayern Munich are not firing as they did in the autumn. But if they do get back to their form, I would favour Bayern Munich over two games.
“But it would be a fantastic game because obviously the first game was breathtaking.”
