Nollywood star and filmmaker Mercy Aigbe is set to join fellow Muslims in observing Ramadan this year.
Like many around the world, Mercy is anticipating the sighting of the crescent moon that signals the beginning of the holy month. Reports indicate that the moon may be visible on the evening of Tuesday, February 17, or Wednesday, February 18.
On Tuesday, February 17, Mercy shared a photo on her Instagram page showing herself in Islamic attire, seated on a prayer mat, giving fans a glimpse of her preparations for Ramadan. She captioned the post, “It’s almost that time of the year,” accompanied by crescent moon emojis.
Mercy, who is the second wife of businessman Kazeem Adeoti (Adekaz), has been observing Ramadan since their marriage in 2022. Following their wedding, she adopted the Muslim name Minnah.
In 2025, a video circulated showing Mercy attempting to eat an apple and drink water but immediately stopping when she remembered she was fasting, highlighting her commitment to the holy month.
