Concern and heartfelt prayers have continued to trail gospel artiste Bukola Oke, popularly known as Eleyele, after an emotional clip from one of her live sessions made its way online.
During the broadcast, the singer who has been locked in a prolonged dispute with her producer, Bayo Films became visibly overwhelmed as she spoke candidly about the challenges she has been facing. Fighting back tears, she told viewers she felt exhausted and apologised, admitting she had reached her limit.
The Ogo Tuntun hitmaker also expressed frustration about the music industry, stating that talent and spiritual gifts alone no longer guarantee success in Nigeria. Reflecting on her journey, she shared that when her career was thriving, she was surrounded by many supporters, but now she feels left alone.
In the emotional video, Eleyele remarked that true peace is impossible without peace of mind, just as survival is difficult without basic necessities. Using rhetorical questions, she illustrated her struggles asking how one can drive without owning a car and lamented that quality music does not seem to sell the way it once did.
The clip left many of her fans deeply saddened. Supporters reminisced about the period when her songs enjoyed massive recognition and recalled earlier claims by a blogger who allegedly pointed to an individual believed to have contributed to her career setbacks.
As reactions poured in, numerous well-wishers urged people close to the singer to reach out and support her, especially considering the troubling remarks she made. Others advised her to consider branching out, pursuing fresh opportunities, accepting smaller performances, and partnering with fellow artistes in hopes of rebuilding momentum.
