Plateau United technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote, has commended his players for the response in the victory over Shooting Stars.
The Peace Boys thrashed Shooting Stars 4-1 at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday.
Ogunbote believes that his motivation and encouragement was key to the impressive performance of his players.
He expressed satisfaction in trouncing his former employers.
NEWSUNPLUG recalls that Ogunbote left Shooting Stars last season after two years in charge of the Ibadan-based club.
“It’s always a thing of joy to win your former team, that was a team I know inside out and have a lot of influence,” Ogunbote reacted after the game in Jos.
“Apart from that, I needed to encourage my players too which really worked for us
“We really worked hard for the game and the boys also responded positively.”
