Edo Queens head coach, Moses Aduku, has expressed satisfaction with the performance of his players despite the 2-1 defeat to Rivers Angels.
In-form forward Atume Doosur’s equaliser wasn’t enough for Edo Queens at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Wednesday.
Abasiofon Uwah’s brace earned Rivers Angels the maximum points in the game.
Aduku admitted that his team’s failure to convert their chances was responsible for the defeat.
“Well first and foremost, I have to thank God for the game, it was up to standard. The team that scored two goals won the game. But all the same I give kudos to my girls for fighting to the end to see how they could get the equalizer but it did not come. No problem it was a good game,” Aduku reacted after the game.
“Actually in the first half of the game we got the opportunity to score we did not take it, football is you get your chance you take it.
“Secondly my defenders were caught napping, the scorer of the second game was in offside positional play, but if my defenders had stood well they would have stopped her. But all the same football is like that, one mistake you pay for it.”
