Nigerian social media influencer King Mitchy has broken her silence after claims of being dead by her management.
In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, she noted that many people have a lot to say about her lately, questioning her intentions, dragging her name, and trying to discredit something she did from the heart.
She revealed that she grew up without a father and can’t even recognise him if she ran into him. Yet, people sit behind their phones and try to tear her down, insult her, bully her and make her feel like she’s nothing. Mitchy made it clear that their words do not define her, as her story didn’t break her, but built her.
“A lot of people have a lot to say about me lately… questioning my intentions, dragging my name, and trying to discredit something I did from my heart.
Yes, I renovated that school. I didn’t do it for validation. I did it because I understand what it means to grow up without certain privileges.
But what hurts me the most is how quickly people are to judge when they don’t know anything about my life.
You don’t know where I’m coming from.
I grew up without a father. If I see my father today, I wouldn’t even recognise him. The only time I ever saw him was when I was about 8 years old, and my mother took me to the prison to see him. That was it.
You don’t know what it feels like to grow up like that.
You don’t know the strength it takes to keep going, to build yourself, to stand on your own. Yet, every day, people sit behind their phones and try to tear me down, insult me, bully me, and make me feel like I’m nothing.
But let me say this clearly, your words do not define me.
My story did not break me; it built me.
And everything I do, I do it with a genuine heart.
If you choose to hate me, that’s your decision.
But don’t try to rewrite my truth.
I will keep growing.
I will keep doing good.
And I will not let anyone silence me”.
