A Nigerian widow, Tonia Nnaji, has penned a heartfelt appreciation post for her in-laws, expressing deep gratitude to them for their love and support after the d3ath of her husband.Nigerian News Updates
In a Facebook post on Sunday, March 1, 2026, she revealed that her mother-in-law stayed with her and the kids for 6 months after her husband passed away.
According to Tonia, her late husband’s elder brother didn’t only support them financially, he also rented a better apartment for them, enrolled her kids in a better school and opened a grocery shop for her.
“I lost my husband at a very young age with three children. but what I didn’t loose was his family. they became my support system” she wrote.
“I never imagined My mother-in-law will stand by me like a pillar, she stayed with us for 6 months after my husband passed.
“My husband’s elder brother stepped in fully financially, he got us a better apartment and furnished it, moved my kids to a better school and paid their fees. And to top it all he opened a grocery shop for me to stand on my feet so I can continue taking care of my children.
“My sister-in-law is a very busy person but she never forgets to call and check on us.
“I am truly blessed with a rare kind of family. How can I ever repay them with this kind of love?
