A Facebook user, Olusegun Iselaiye, has mourned a youth identified as Juwon Ajisafe, who was k!lled by armed bandits in Bareke, Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.
It was gathered that bandits attacked the community on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Eyewitnesses said Juwon was shot during the attack.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention where he was later confirmed d3ad.
Residents disclosed that security operatives, including personnel of the Nigerian Army and local vigilantes, responded promptly to the distress call and moved swiftly to calm the situation.
“Rest in peace, Juwon Ajisafe. This wasn’t the path you chose, nor the end you deserved,” Olusegun wrote.
“You were a victim of a system that failed to protect its own from banditry, a system that silenced your aspirations far too soon.
“The tragedy isn’t just in your passing, but in the silence that follows. We move on too quickly, returning to our lives until the shadows of insecurity reach our own doors again.
“It’s a cycle of complacency we haven’t yet broken. You deserved better, Juwon. We will carry your memory, even when the world tries to forget.”
