Popular Nigerian social media personality and crossdresser, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, widely known as Bobrisky, has voiced his frustration over Nigeria’s response to the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran.
In a series of posts on his Instagram account, Bobrisky criticised the government for its lack of action in protecting Nigerian citizens abroad, contrasting the slow response with other countries that quickly arranged evacuations.
He expressed disappointment over what he described as Nigeria’s apparent indifference to the safety of its people living in Iran.
“While other nations are sending planes to bring their citizens home from Iran, Nigeria has none. Are its people expected to face the war alone? I’m never going back there! I’ve had enough,” he wrote.
Bobrisky also highlighted what he sees as misplaced priorities in the country, noting how armed groups flaunt ransom money online without consequence, while agencies like the EFCC target citizens celebrating with money at parties.
He concluded by expressing regret over being born and raised in Nigeria, questioning the government’s handling of critical situations.
“Only in Nigeria bandit will collect ransom and still post their face and the cash online because they know Nigeria govt have no power over them. EFCC won’t see those ones and go after them but will go after people for spraying money in a party… I regret I was born in Nigeria. Shame!!!!!!”
