An 11-year-old girl identified as Saamayol Happy Agber, was allegedly s3xually abused by her uncle in Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State.
It was gathered that the minor, an indigene of Mbayongo Council Ward in Vandeikya, of Benue State was placed in the care of her uncle, Mr. Terlumum Agbo, a local herbal practitioner.
According to a Facebook user, Â Hon Praise Atsagye who shared the story online, survivor account stated that the abuse began after she was moved out of the main house.
“Citing her struggle with bedwetting, Mr. Agbo instructed her to sleep alone in his treatment hut.
During this time, Mr. Agbo allegedly subjected her to repeated s3xual abuse, deceptively claiming that the acts were necessary “treatment” to stop her bedwetting.
Saamayol recounted that her uncle forced himself on her on two separate occasions.
Shortly thereafter, she began experiencing severe physical pain and a persistent, abnormal discharge.
The gravity of the situation came to light when Saamayol’s physical health began to fail.
On March 14 , 2026, she was brought to Makurdi appearing visibly ill and suffering from unexplained trauma.
While her uncle’s wife initially suspected a routine infection, a medical examination and Saamayol’s own brave testimony revealed the reality of the assault.
Saamayol is now experiencing constant discharge and excruciating pain from her private part.
Saamayol has been taken to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH), Makurdi for proper examination.
