Former Denmark goalkeeper, Peter Schmeichel, has tipped Manchester United to finish in second place in the Premier League ahead of Manchester City.
Schmeichel was reacting to the Red Devils’ 3-1 win over Aston Villa on Sunday.
Casemiro’s header was cancelled out by Ross Barkley’s volley, before goals from Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko earned three points for United.
The result takes United up to 54 points, seven behind Man City and 16 off league leaders Arsenal.
Schmeichel admits that Arsenal cannot be caught, but City are within their rivals’ reach.
“I’m looking and I’m serious, I think we can catch Man City. I think we can do that,” Schmeichel told ViaPlay.
“Our form is much better, our winning form is much better.”
