Manchester City will receive a £100,000 prize money for beating Arsenal in this year’s Carabao Cup final on Sunday.
Nico O’Reilly scored twice within four minutes of the second half, as Pep Guardiola’s men clinched the first piece of silverware.
City also dented Arsenal’s hopes of winning an unprecedented Quadruple, after they themselves had been eliminated from the Champions League by Real Madrid.
The Gunners will receive £50,000 despite the loss at Wembley.
The two clubs have already been paid £25,000 each for their participation in the semi-finals.
This amount is fixed for the four teams that reach the final four, regardless of their performance in those specific legs.
