Nasarawa United management have been warned against sabotaging the efforts of the team.
The state governor, Abdullahi Sule, made the warning during a visit to the players on Tuesday.
There were reports of crowd troubles during Nasarawa United’s clash with Rivers United at the Lafia City Stadium on Monday.
Sule frowned at the report of the incident and vowed to take drastic action against any individual found to be guilty of the action.
“Yesterday, I received an unpleasant news about our top-ranking officials disputing the pages during our game against Rivers United,” Sule was quoted by the club’s media during his visit.
“It’s quite unfortunate, and I won’t tolerate that, whatsoever and whoever is involved, We cannot continue to put in our best as a team and State, and some people, perhaps, because of their selfish and personal interests, will engage in what would make the league body begin to deduct our points or punish our team.
“Let me make it very clear to anyone that cares to read between the lines that the day our darling teams, Nasarawa United or Nasarawa Amazons, are deducted points or punished as a result of some set of people, with vested interests, undermining our progress, that day, I will take a drastic action on whoever it is behind it.”
