Argentina legend, Gabriel Batistuta, has named three best strikers in the world at the moment.
Speaking during an appearance on the YouTube channel Rio Ferdinand Presents, Batistuta was asked to name the best striker in the world.
Batistuta, however, admitted that the question was very tough as he instead named Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe, Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland as his three best strikers, adding that they score in every match.
Very tough. I could say (Kylian) Mbappe, but I could say Lautaro Martinez, I could say Haaland. They just score every match,” Batistuta said.
“Haaland surprised me because he’s always in the right position, and if you give him three balls, he will score a fourth. You see him, he looks slow, looks like (not interested) and then boom”.
Batistuta was Argentina’s all-time leading goalscorer with 56 goals in 78 games before Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi surpassed his tally in 2016.
The 57-year-old won his only Serie A title at Roma in the 2000-01 season and retired in 2005.
