Jamaica have sealed their place in the final of the 2026 World Cup intercontinental play-off, thanks to a narrow 1-0 victory over New Caledonia.
The game was played in Mexico in the early hours of Friday.
Bailey Cadamarteri scored the only goal of the match in the first half, reacting quickest to blast in a rebound.
The Reggae Boyz will now face the Democratic Republic of Congo, who are hoping to get Africa’s 10th ticket to the World Cup.
Recall that the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, recently failed in their bid to replace the Congolese in the intercontinental play-off.
FIFA rejected the NFF’s complaint over the eligibility of some DR Congo players, effectively ending the Super Eagles’ World Cup dreams.
In the other play-off semi-final, Bolivia edged Suriname 2-1 and will play Iraq as part of Pathway 2.
