Barcelona defender, João Cancelo, has named Portugal among the favourites to win this year’s FIFA World Cup.
According to the 31-year-old former Manchester City player, Portugal has Cristiano Ronaldo in its squad, who can lead the team to win the World Cup.
Portugal is in Group K at the World Cup and will face the likes of Colombia and Uzbekistan.
Speaking to TNT Sports Mexico, Cancelo said, “We should be among the top favourites to win the World Cup 2026 with the quality of players we have.
“Cristiano Ronaldo as well? Of course, yes,” he said.
This is coming as Portugal played a 0-0 draw against Mexico in an international friendly on Sunday.
Portugal will now face the United States of America in their next friendly on Wednesday.
