Shooting Stars technical adviser, Nurudeen Aweroro, has commended his players for their determination in the 3-1 win over Rangers.
Adams Mustapha, Desmond Ojietefian and Sodiq Ibrahim were on target for Shooting Stars in the matchday 32 fixture in Ibadan.
Chidebere Nwobodo scored the consolation goal for Rangers.
Aweroro admitted that the clash against the eighth-time Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, champions was tough.
“We played against a team that has not conceded in their recent games.
“The game was one of our best games because we played against a tough team, stayed very conscious in defense, and still managed to score three goals,” Aweroro told OyoSportsNews.
“It shows the mentality and resilience of our players.
“We never gave up. They call us warriors, and the players understood the message before the game: to play like warrior; and they did just that.
