Victor Boniface is keen to return to the pitch again after his injury layoff, NEWSUNPLUG  reports.

The Nigeria international is currently on loan with Bundesliga club Werder Bremen from Bayer Leverkusen.

Boniface returned to training this week after a three-month injury layoff.

The striker sustained the injury during training last December.

The 25-year-old is now set to return for Bremen before the season ends, after initially being ruled out for the rest of the campaign.

Boniface is looking forward to helping the Greens finish the season on a positive note.

“I am happy to be back after three months out. I am now looking forward to what we can achieve at the end of the season,” he told the club’s official website.

He has registered two assists in 11 league appearances for Bremen this season.
