A Nigerian lady, Priceless Muna Chukwunonso, has said that a newly married woman should never agree to move into her husband’s family house; citing lack of privacy, loss of respect, boundary and interference issues.

While noting that not all in-laws are bad, she emphasized the importance of couples growing together without unnecessary pressure or interference.

“As a newly wed, don’t ever move into your husband’s family house.. It doesn’t end well!!,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Monday, April 6.

“One of the biggest mistakes a newly married woman can make in Nigeria…is moving into her husband’s family house.

“Not because the family is bad, but because marriage needs space.

“You need time to understand your partner, build your own system, and grow together without pressure.

Now imagine doing that with opinions, monitoring, and expectations everywhere.

Little issues become big problems. Boundaries disappear. Respect starts to fade.

Not every marriage will fail like this but why start your journey at a disadvantage?
