Real Madrid winger, Vinicius Junior, has explained why he never said goodbye to former Real Madrid manager, Xabi Alonso.

In an post match press conference ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League quarter final clash against Bayern Munich, Vinicius hinted that he never had a good relationship with the former Liverpool midfielder.

Asked why he did not post any social media goodbye for Xabi Alonso, the Brazilian winger said, “Every coach has their own things and maybe we did not connect well,” as quoted by Fabrizio Romano

“It was a difficult moment because I was playing for a few minutes. I learned a lot, I reflected and I am improved now”.

Experts have attributed Alonso’s sack at Real Madrid to his inability to manage the egos present in the squad.

Alonso, who replaced Carlo Ancelotti, was sacked after taking charge at the Santiago Bernabeu last year.
