Real Madrid has reacted to the death of the national head coach of Romania, Mircea Lucescu.

NEWSUNPLUG reports that Lucescu died on Tuesday at the age of 80.

Lucescu coached numerous clubs in various European countries, including Inter Milan and Galatasaray, when he was alive.

Reacting, Real Madrid, in a statement via its website, expressed regret over the passing of Lucescu, wishing him ‘Rest in peace’.

“Real Madrid C.F., its president, and its Board of Directors deeply regret the passing of Mircea Lucescu, who was the national coach of Romania and Turkey,” Real Madrid’s statement partly read.

“Real Madrid wishes to express its condolences and its love and affection to his family, his colleagues, his clubs, and all his loved ones. Rest in peace.”
