A Magistrate Court in Injiyaji, located in Damaturu, has sentenced 22-year-old man, Rabilu Sani to prison for r@ping a 4-year-old girl in Jakusko Local Government Area of Yobe State.

LIB reported that Sani lured the minor into a room and r@ped her last year.

He was arrested on November 9, 2025 and charged to court upon completion of investigation.

The presiding judge of Magistrate Court 1 confirmed that the offense was proven and convicted Rabilu Sani, sentencing him to twelve years imprisonment without the option of a fine.

However, the court also confirmed that further medical tests showed that Rabilu Sani is not infected with HIV.

The Yobe State Government, under the leadership of the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Ya Jalo Badama, led the effort to seek justice for the victim, after months of legal proceedings in court.
