The Akure Chief Magistrate’s Court has remanded twin brothers, Eyinloju Taiwo and Eyinloju Kehinde, at the Olokuta Correctional Centre following allegations of r@ping a 15-year-old girl.

The duo, who were arraigned by the Ondo State Amotekun Corps, are facing a four-count charge.

The prosecuting counsel, O.F. Baba, informed the court that the alleged offences were committed on March 12, 2026, between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., at Abisi Street, Ikamu Quarters, Oka Akoko, Ondo State.

He alleged that the defendants had unlawful carnal knowledge of the girl, Busayo Bakare, without her consent.

Baba further told the court that the defendants also alleged abducted one Juliet Oke to aid the commission of the alleged r@pe.

The prosecutor stated that the offences contravened Sections 357, 516 and 558 of the Criminal Code, Cap 37, Volume 1, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006, as well as Section 2(iii), punishable under Section 3(ii)(b) of the Ondo State Anti-Kidnapping and Anti-Abduction Law, 2010.

He added that a remand application, backed by an affidavit, had been filed, urging the court to remand the defendants in a correctional facility pending further proceedings.

Counsel for the defendants, D.S. Omnidougha, prayed the court for permission to file a counter-affidavit.

Magistrate Damilola Sekoni adjourned the case to April 22, 2026, for the hearing of the remand application.
