Npfl Sanctions Nasarawa United For Security Breach

Nasarawa United have been sanctioned for breaching the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, framework and rules in their matchday 33 encounter against Kun Khalifat FC.

According to the league body, the Solid Miners failed to provide adequate security in the match, which resulted in unauthorized persons gaining access to restricted areas.

‎Nasarawa United were fined N1m each for failure to provide adequate security and throwing of dangerous objects towards match officials.

They also received N1m fine, imposed for unsporting behaviour.

‎Nasarawa United have been asked to pay a N1m fine each for improper conduct of their supporters which led to the harassment of match officials & holding of match officials hostage for 20 minutes.

The Lafia-based side will also play their next two home matches without fans.

Nasarawa United have 48 hours to appeal or accept the sanctions.
