Former Super Eagles head coach, Sunday Oliseh has heaped plaudits on Ademola Lookman for his impressive performance in Atletico’s Madrid victory over Barcelona.

Lookman’s goal proved decisive as Diego Simeone’s side booked a place in the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League at the expense of their LaLiga rivals.

Atletico won the first leg 2-0 at the Sportify Camp Nou last week.

The Rojiblancos however lost the reverse fixture 2-1 at home but prevailed 3-2 on aggregate.

Barcelona went in front through goals from Lamine Yamal, and Ferran Torres.

Lookman however fired home off a quick counter to pull a goal back in the 31st minute on Tuesday night.

Oliseh labeled his compatriot the difference maker for Atletico Madrid in the contest.

“Talk about being an absolute influential player! I am extremely happy For Lookman. His goal made the difference. he is also showing so much maturity that is quite remarkable,” Oliseh posted on X.
