Nollywood actress Faithia Williams has written an emotional note to her late mother, 41 days after her passing.
In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, she noted how the world tells her time heals, but how can time heal a wound carved from the very heart that first beat for her? She noted how it’s been 41 days since she was laid to rest, but the love still grows wild in her.

Faithia said her mother was more than a mother to her, as she was her first home, her safest prayer, her loudest cheerleader, and her softest landing place. She promised to keep living so she could be proud of herself.
“41 days have passed since we laid you to rest, Moomi, yet every sunrise still feels like the first without you.
The world tells me time heals, but how can time heal a wound carved from the very heart that first beat for me?
41 days ago, I watched them lower your body into the earth, but they could never bury the love you planted in my soul. That love still grows wild in me, unpruned, untamed, refusing to wither even when my eyes burn from crying, and my chest feels too small to hold this ache.
Iya oyinbo, you were not just my mother; you were my first home, my safest prayer, my loudest cheerleader, and my softest landing place. You taught me how to love without keeping score, how to forgive before the hurt even settled, how to stand tall even when the ground beneath me shook. Now I stand here, motherless in the world’s eyes, yet more mothered than any soul has a right to be, because your spirit still whispers strength into my bones.
Until we meet again, I will keep living in a way that makes you proud. I will love fiercely, pray loudly, and hold my head high because I am the daughter of a woman whose light refused to be dimmed even by death.
Rest well, my beautiful Mummy.
I love you beyond 41 days, beyond years, beyond this lifetime. Iya oyinbo, iya eleja, moomi
Forever your baby”.
