Gift Orban has tendered an apology for his violent altercation with a fan in the aftermath of Hellas Verona’s 1-0defeat to AC Milan.
The incident, which occured outside the Stadio Bentegodi, was captured on mobile phones by bystanders.
A visibly angry Orban turned down a request to sign an autograph from a fan after the game.
The striker’s car was struck by another another fan to express his displeasure.
Orban got out of his vehicle and a heated confrontation ensued, developing into a physical altercation.
The 23-year-old has now issued an apology through his Instagram stories.
“I wish to sincerely apologise to all the fans for my behaviour,” wrote the Nigeria international.
