Nigerian singer and dancerĀ Peter Okoye has lashed out at an X user who described his change of birthday as a shame to Ndi Igbo.
Newsunplug reported last week that Peter announced thatĀ he was officially changing his birthday date from November 18th to November 30th. The singer said it is a personal decision and he appreciates the public for understanding.
Reacting to his decision, a tweepĀ claimedĀ that 10 years ago, he honoured the singerās late father by bringing a group of oil and gas expatriates to Squareville for an unplanned condolence visit. He said he felt the unity and love between him and Paul back then, and to now, seeing him stoop so low with his birthday change is a great shame to Ndi Igbo.
āYes, I am š. Almost 10 years ago, I honoured your late father by bringing a group of oil and gas expatriates to Squareville for an unplanned condolence visit. I remember how honoured you and your brother felt. I made sure you got their business cards and left the rest to destiny.
I felt the unity and love between you and your brother back then. To see you stoop so low with this bday thing is a great shame to ndi igbo who selflessly contributed to the stability of the Psquare brand then. Even if you were cheated money-wise, when did blood become less important than money?
I have never been concerned with your family matters, but this birthday gimmick youāve pulled is a line crossed too far. You have no clue the shame it brings to the sanctity and cultural roots of Ndi Igbo. Iāll say no more until we meet againā.
RespondingĀ to his rant,Ā Peter told him to get away from his timeline and blocked him.
āGet da fuck off my timeline, you fool! Blockedā.
