Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone, has singled out two of his players following his side’s Champions League semi-final second leg 1-0 defeat to Arsenal on Tuesday.

Simeone’s side was eliminated from the Champions League on a 2-1 aggregate defeat following Bukayo Saka’s only goal of the match at the Emirates Stadium.

Speaking to reporters after the match in London, Simeone stated that captain Koke was incredible.

The Argentine also urged Atletico Madrid fans to give forward Antoine Griezmann, who will leave the club for Orlando City at the end of the season, the boost he has earned in the last few matches for the team.

“I hope our fans give Antoine Griezmann the boost he has earned in these last few matches,” Simeone said.

“Koke was incredible, a masterclass in how to play football at his age. I am grateful to the team.”
