Former Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger has praised PSG as a ‘complete team’ following their victory over Bayern Munich.
The 6-5 aggregate win over Bayern secured their place alongside Arsenal in the Champions League final.
PSG will compete against Arsenal in the final scheduled for May 30 in Budapest.
Luis Enrique’s squad, the reigning champions after their success last year, triumphed over Bayern 5-4 in an exhilarating first leg and managed to hold Vincent Kompany’s team to a 1-1 draw in Munich.
Last season, PSG defeated Arsenal in the semi-finals on their way to claiming their first Champions League title and will be aiming for a similar result when the two teams clash in Hungary later this month.
The legendary Arsenal manager, Wenger expressed great admiration for PSG’s display against Bayern Munich, stating that his former club will be up against a ‘complete team’ in the Champions League final.
Wenger told beIN Sports, “After a match like that, one could argue that Bayern were not at their usual level, or one could assert that PSG delivered an exceptionally solid performance.
“Personally, I lean towards the latter perspective, asserting that PSG defended remarkably well, maintained their pressing game, and offered Bayern no opportunities for a comeback.
“In summary, I would emphasize the quality of PSG, who have evolved into a truly complete team with excellent cohesion.
“Additionally, they possess another remarkable attribute: any striker in this team, when faced with a one-on-one situation, is capable of finishing with a shot on goal that is nearly impossible to stop.
“They ensure that the goalkeeper is forced to make a save, which is an impressive quality.”
