In celebration of Mother’s Day, AMVCA-winning actor Lateef Adedimeji wrote a letter to his wife, Mo Bimpe.
In the letter, he noted how people asked questions and counted the years, yet she built her father and stood through it all, not bitter, loud or broken, but quietly powerful.

Now, God has blessed her with triplets and multiplied her by three. The actor said that she is a living testament to the fact that delay isn’t denial.
“Today, the world says Happy Mother’s Day…
But my heart says, finally, they see what I’ve always known.
To my love, my home, my Mo Bimpe
Before the world called you “mother,”
I called you strength.
Before the titles, the noise, the expectations…
You were already everything.
They counted years.
We counted blessings.
They asked questions.
We built faith.
And through it all, you stood
Not loud, not bitter, not broken…
Just quietly powerful.
Then God, in His dramatic fashion
Because clearly, He writes better scripts than all of us.
Said: “Not one… not two… take three.”
Babanla plot twist
Ah! Even I had to check if heaven pressed “bulk order.”
Now look at you…
A whole mother of triplets.
A queen multiplied.
Grace, multiplied by three.
And just when we thought the story couldn’t get sweeter,
Life said, “Let’s add award-winning moments to the mix.”
Because truly, you are a living testament that
Delay is not denial — it’s divine storytelling.
Today, I celebrate you not just for giving life,
But for the life you’ve always been.
To the woman who turned waiting into worship,
Pain into patience,
And love into legacy…
Happy Mother’s Day, my love
You didn’t just become a mother
You became a miracle we get to hold.
Forever yours,
— Adedimeji Lateef.
