As the 2025/2026 season gradually comes to an end, here are the top five highest goalscorers in the major European leagues so far.

As time continues to progress, the momentum of Africa producing some of the most prolific forwards has continued to accelerate, with the continent producing some of the top scorers in the biggest of leagues in Europe.

From the Bundesliga to the Süper Lig and across the Premier League, here are five names who have done the most damage in front of goal.

How many goals has Paul Onuachu scored?

Paul Onuachu (Nigeria) — 22 goals (Trabzonspor, Süper Lig)

The towering Nigerian has been the story of Turkish football this season. After an underwhelming spell at Southampton, Onuachu’s permanent return to Trabzonspor in the summer has translated into a goal avalanche, with the 31-year-old leading the Süper Lig Golden Boot race and accounting for a huge share of his side’s attacking output. His blend of aerial dominance and surprisingly delicate finishing has made him almost impossible to handle, and his viral acrobatic finishes have given him a second life as a social-media phenomenon.

Serhou Guirassy (Guinea) — 16 goals (Borussia Dortmund, Bundesliga)

Following his 13-goal Champions League heroics last term, the Guinea international has continued to anchor Dortmund’s attack. Sixteen Bundesliga goals, including three from the spot, represent another season of elite striker output, even if the wider Dortmund project has been turbulent. Now firmly established as one of Africa’s premier centre-forwards, Guirassy remains the focal point of BVB’s chase for European places.

Who is the highest-scoring African player in the Premier League this season?

Antoine Semenyo (Ghana) — 15 goals (Manchester City, Premier League)

Ghana’s breakout star of the previous campaign has kicked on in a major way. A blistering start at Bournemouth turned him into one of the league’s most coveted attackers, and he has continued scoring after a high-profile move to Manchester City. Fifteen Premier League goals from a wide forward is genuinely elite production, and Semenyo has cemented himself as one of the standout African talents in England.

Mohamed Bayo (Guinea) — 15 goals (Gaziantep FK, Süper Lig)

Loaned out by Lille after struggling to break in at the French club, the Guinean striker has rediscovered his shooting boots in Turkey. Bayo has been a revelation for Gaziantep, mixing left-footed strikes with predatory penalty-area finishing, and his form has reopened the conversation about whether his future still lies in Ligue 1.

Victor Osimhen (Nigeria) — 15 goals (Galatasaray, Süper Lig)

The Nigerian’s permanent move to Galatasaray, a Turkish-record transfer, was supposed to be the headline of his European story this year. An ulna injury picked up in the Champions League round of 16 against Liverpool cost him weeks of momentum, yet he has still managed 15 league goals and helped power Galatasaray to another Süper Lig title. When fit, he remains in the conversation for the best No.9 on the continent.

Other notable mentions include:
