La Mode Unknown, a Paris-based designer, has called out Nigerian designer Abbas Woman, over the copyright of Ghanaian actress Nana Akua Addo.
Newsunplug reported that the Ghanaian actress, well-known for her creative fashion outfits, broke the internet with her look at the 12th edition of the AMVCA, which was held over the weekend.

The outfit, which has gone viral on social media, caught the attention of an international fashion designer who dragged the Nigerian designer for copying its creative concept.
The designer called Abbas’ work a theft, noting how he stole from them, yet claimed he was inspired.

“Wanna talk about this blatant THEFT on the right of we aren’t ready for this conversation yet.
And, well, okay, you steal…but mention in the description that you ‘got inspired by’… AT LEAST.
Almée Couture✨️ just released a STATEMENT & it gets even CRAZÍER…🪡
This was supposed to be a custom couture piece, but the project was cancelled & client’s deposit was refunded.
ONLY for the original design & sketch to be used by ‘someone else’ to recreate the gown”.
