Ademola Lookman netted the winning goal in Atético Madrid’s slim 1-0 victory over Girona on Sunday.
Atlético were in ascendancy from the first minute but had to wait until the 21st minute before Lookman hit target from Antoine Griezmann’s assist.
It was the Nigeria international’s fourth league goal of the season.
The 28-year-old was replaced by Clément Lenglet 27 minutes from time.
Lookman joined Diego Simeone’s side from Atalanta in January.
Atlético remain in fourth position on the table despite the win.
