Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, has urged the Red Devils to sign Poland striker Robert Lewandowski.

Ferdinand also insisted that his old club should have signed Atalanta midfielder Ederson two years ago.

Lewandowski recently played his last match for Barcelona over the weekend, and he is expected to join a new club this summer, while Ederson has been linked with a move to United.

Speaking about Man United’s priorities ahead of the summer transfer window, Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel: “They are talking about Ederson [Atalanta midfielder], who we should have signed two years ago. Good footballer.

“I think we are going to have to buy two or three midfielders to cover that area, and you need to bring in legs; they need to be mobile and players who can move.

“Lewandowski is not a bad shout either if they are going to get another striker. If we brought him in, look at the experience he has, the amount of learning that Sesko will do.”
