Hollywood actress Daveigh Elizabeth Chase, popularly known to voice Lilo in the Disney animated Lilo & Stitch, has passed away at the age of 35.

Her death was confirmed by her manager John Ryan Jr to BBC News.

According to Ryan, Chase was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday due malnourishment.

In addition, the actress died from sepsis after suffering from meningitis in a Los Angeles hospital , according to her manager.

“She was the greatest. She loved cats. She worked with cat rescues with us. She was very to herself,” said Ryan, her friend and manager of 15 years.

“She was not very Hollywood.

“She’d rather eat at Bob’s Big Boy and go home with the cats. She loved acting but wasn’t into the fame scene,”he said.

Daveigh Elizabeth Chase born in July 24, 1990 was an American actress.

The former child star began acting at 4 years old, booking her first Hollywood job when she was 7, but she retired from acting full time in 2015

The actress was well known for her role in the horror movie The Ring and voiced Lilo in Disney’s animated Lilo & Stitch.

In June 2026, Chase was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital for treatment of severe malnutrition following a period of extreme weight loss.

During her hospitalization, her condition became increasingly critical after she was diagnosed with meningitis and several severe systemic bloodstream infections, with doctors stating that she did not have much time left to live.

For her performance in the latter, she won an Annie Award in 2003, and she continued to voice Lilo in its subsequent media franchise.
