Nigerian actress and politician Tonto Dikeh has continued to draw attention after openly reaffirming her spiritual transformation and commitment to the gospel, months after announcing her discipleship training.
Controversial actress Tonto Dikeh has demonstrated that her pledge to follow the gospel was not a whim four months after she made it known to her fans and following.
The actress, who is also a politician, stated in February that she had completed a discipleship program at Pastor Jerry Eze’s church, Streams of Joy International.
In a video posted to her Instagram profile, the 40-year-old talked about a tremendous spiritual rebirth that has changed her perspective on life, faith, and service while showcasing her discipleship certificate.
A few weeks later, Tonto performed what was considered to be her first deliverance ceremony, saving a schoolgirl from what she described as a demonic onslaught.
Tonto claims that the deed was God giving her a peek of the ministry He has placed in her life.
“I was saved from the sea world so that I may serve as a tool in His hands to save others.
Producing fruits
Whether she is speaking at the altar, evangelizing on the streets, or spreading the word online, the preacher formerly known as King Tonto has kept up her commitment to the gospel.
Tonto urged her followers to stay in touch with God in her most recent sermon.
The tree will thrive and produce fruit if it stays attached to its root.
She posted on Instagram, “In the same way, when we stay connected to the Source (Jesus Christ), our lives become fruitful.”
She claims that as we sit at Christ’s feet, walk closely with Him, and remain in His presence, He fosters our development and makes it possible for us to produce fruit that exalts God and benefits others.
She quoted John 15:5 to wrap up her sermon: “I am the vine; you are the branches.” You cannot accomplish anything without Me, therefore whomever resides in Me and I in him bears a lot of fruit.
A walk of faith
The actress discussed her views on faith and developing a closer relationship with God via scripture and community in a prior post.
She pointed out that faith was never intended to remain behind church walls, quoting James 4:8, which states, “draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.”
She wrote, “God wants a real relationship with us not just fleeting moments of emotion, but a life that walks closely with Him every day.”
