Nigerian disc jockey DJ Cuppy has melted hearts with a video of her leading a prayer session at her sister, Temi Otedola’s, baby shower.

In a video making rounds online, the famous disc jockey was captured leading family and friends in a prayer session for the mum-to-be.

DJ Cuppy prays for Temi Otedola

During the prayer, Cuppy quoted Psalm 127, which describes children as a reward from God, and prayed for God’s protection and blessings for the unborn child.

While wishing her sister a safe delivery, she declared that God’s plans for the baby are plans to prosper, not to harm.

  • Gachagua questioned why Kindiki would say anything just to please President William Ruto, at the expense of his reputation as a great legal mind. “Soprano, please, don’t embarrass us. You are our son. You are thinking like a Standard 1 child and are reading the Constitution upside down,” Gachagua said. He reminded Kindiki that President Ruto himself had stated he needed only one term, after which he would seek a fresh mandate from the people. Gachagua argued that if the framers of the Constitution intended a two-term limit, they would have clearly indicated that a Head of State should serve for 10 years. He added that the current indifference towards Ruto by Kenyans stemmed from the President’s failure to deliver on his promises. Kindiki fired back on Wednesday, challenging Gachagua’s constitutional literacy. “I hear you want to teach me Constitutional Law, and that you doubt my understanding of not just the Constitution of Kenya but of the over one hundred other national constitutions that I started studying many years ago when you were busy stealing relief food. Are you really looking for an intellectual challenge?” the DP posed. The Deputy President then turned the tables on Gachagua, questioning who had truly embarrassed the Mt Kenya region. “Who has embarrassed the Mount Kenya region more than the person whose greed and incompetence is making us spend so much time explaining that you do not represent our change from the values projected by statesmen born in our region of birth, who served our Country in the past with honour, distinction and excellence?” Kindiki however held back from a full confrontation, stating he was currently occupied. “Umenitafuta sana na hii kiburi yako, but at the right time I will answer you. For now niko busy, I won’t descend,” he said. The DP had earlier defended his position on the two-term constitutional provision, asserting that there was no such thing as “one term” in the Constitution. “The Constitution says two terms; the first to introduce programmes, policies, projects and changes, while the second term is to complete the projects,” Kindiki reiterated, expressing confidence that Ruto would be granted a second term based on his performance record.
