Jose Mourinho has admitted that his deep love for Real Madrid is the reason why he has decided to return as manager.
The 63-year-old has already been officially announced as Los Blancos head coach ahead of the 2026/2027.
It will be a second stint for Mourinho, who was in charge of the La Liga giants between 2010 and 2013.
During his first spell at the Bernabeu, Mourinho won LaLiga, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup titles.
He is now set to take over a squad that failed to win any silverware in two consecutive seasons.
However, his love for the club is bigger than the task before him.
“I love Real Madrid, and this is the reason why I’m coming back. I don’t deny it,” Mourinho told reporters.
