Brazil forward Neymar has said that he cares about Argentina captain Lionel Messi very much.
The Santos star gave an interview to the DSPORTS channel after his World Cup match for Brazil against Scotland on Wednesday.
The 34-year-old took the opportunity to send birthday wishes to Messi, who celebrated his 39th birthday at the national team’s training camp on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media after the match, Neymar said of Messi, “He is excellent on the field, and even better off the field.
“He is a very good friend of mine, and he knows I care about him very much.”
Neymar and Messi were former teammates at Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain in the past.
