Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has faced criticism from social media users after she called out a makeup artist who failed to show up for a booked engagement.
According to the actress, she hired the makeup artist for an important event and repeatedly reminded her ahead of the scheduled date. However, the makeup artist allegedly did not appear on the agreed day, leaving Eniola disappointed.
Frustrated by the situation, Eniola went online to share the makeup artist’s contact details, encouraging her followers to reach out and “tell her wetin no good.”
The post quickly sparked backlash, especially on X, where many users faulted the actress for exposing the woman’s personal phone number publicly.
Some critics drew comparisons with political issues, questioning why Eniola had not taken similar action against President Bola Tinubu, while sarcastically suggesting she should also share his contact details since he has “disappointed Nigerians” in the past.
Others condemned the move outright, arguing that it was inappropriate to involve the public or expose someone’s private information over a missed appointment. A few also warned that such actions could potentially lead to legal consequences in other countries.
There were, however, mixed reactions online. While some users defended Eniola’s frustration, others took a different approach by contacting the makeup artist to thank her for not showing up, wishing her success and more clients in the future.
