Nollywood actress and entrepreneur Iyabo Ojo has opened up about her early life, revealing that the period she spent with her former husband was the only time she experienced financial hardship.

The actress, who has often spoken about her journey from humble beginnings to becoming a successful entertainer, shared that she did not grow up in poverty as many people might assume.

According to Iyabo Ojo, her childhood was comfortable, and she was raised in a supportive environment before marriage brought a different experience that tested her resilience.

She explained that her most difficult financial period came during her marriage, describing it as the only phase in her life when she struggled with poverty.

“The only time I experienced poverty was when I married my ex-husband,” she said, while reflecting on her personal journey.

The mother of two noted that the challenges she faced during that period shaped her into the strong and independent woman she is today. She added that overcoming those experiences helped her develop the determination needed to build her career and provide for her family.
