Nigerian businessman Wale Jana has reacted to talent manager Ubi Franklin’s recent statement about his crashed marriage to Lilian Esoro.
In an episode of his podcast, Ubi recalled how their relationship began, and how Lilian had developed cold feet about their engagement. He said they eventually reconciled and got married after she indicated she was ready to proceed with the wedding.
However, despite their efforts to make the marriage work, the union later ended in divorce. Franklin said the divorce took a heavy emotional toll on him, leaving him depressed and suicidal.

Reacting to it, Wale Jana admonished anyone in a relationship to run whenever they see hot-and-cold behaviour. He explained that such behaviour means one’s partner has a double mind and has other options.
“My brother @ubifranklinofficial has been sharing some really insightful stories, and recently he shared about his relationship and marriage with his ex-wife. He had proposed to her and organised an engagement party. She didn’t show up for the party; then she came to meet him after the party and apologised. They spent the night together, and by the morning she had dropped the engagement ring on the table to end the relationship, but somehow they were able to work things out. They eventually got married, and now they are divorced.
Whenever you see hot and cold behaviour in a relationship, run! It simply means your partner has a double mind; they have other options, but you are not the main choice, so when that other person is unavailable, they suddenly love-bomb you and shower you with attention. Still, when that other person is available, they breadcrumb you. They chat you up and give you so much attention today, then they ghost you for one month, and then suddenly they come back and love bomb you today and tomorrow they are cold and uninterested. It means they love that other person more than you, but they are keeping you around as a backup plan just in case that other relationship doesn’t work. If you don’t know the signs and the patterns, you will become anxious and begin to overthink.
So if you are dating anyone with this pattern, know exactly what you are dealing with and cut that relationship off ASAP because it never ends well.
May you hold on to this common sense in Jesus’ name”.
